abstract = "The state of the lakes is influenced by the fluctuating
hydrometeorological characteristics, the geographical location and
also the physico-chemical and biological characteristics of the
water with the use we made of it. It's state, quality or degree of
pollution, are able to be studied by Remote Sensing. Remote
sensing is based on the use of sensors, a very important tool,
which are used for analyzing the earth's surface obtaining
information and registering it quickly. Using satellites with high
resolution sensors, such as the recent Landsat-8 (LDCM, Landsat
Data Continuity Mission), allow us to make a more precise spatial
and temporal acquirement of the water components and study the
optical characteristics of water. The parameters that indicate the
water quality are the phytoplankton biomass and composition. The
biomass is determined by the concentration of chlorophyll-a, from
which we can obtain the degree of pollution of ecosystems. In this
paper, we focus on the study of a relationship between bands with
using reflectivity data. The study will take place on the Titicaca
Lake with data aquired by the Landsat-8 satellite during the
                         period 2013 to the present.",
